Sir Geoffrey Vos on Technology and the Law.

Does it make a difference to a judge when listening to oral argument live vis-à-vis via Zoom? Is the live legal submission by a lawyer more convincing to a judge?

This is one of the questions I asked the Chancellor of the High Court of England and Wales Sir Geoffrey Vos during an online discussion I hosted that was organized by the British High Commission in Nicosia.

The topic of the webinar is:

“How can a technology-enabled system be used to improve access to justice, reduce delays and costs during this uncertain time.”

Sir Geoffrey, soon to take the position of the Master of the Rolls, presents his views on the matter with clarity, precision and simplicity. He is certainly an innovative progressive judge and lawyer with proposals and ideas that serve as inspiration and guidance to the legal profession.
